5 Popular CSS Frameworks

I am an avid fan of CSS Frameworks. CSS Frameworks improve your CSS semantics and can make your website show up perfect on every browser. Most importantly they save time for coding repetitive semantics.

Every web developer/coder should find a CSS framework that works for them and use it on a regular basis. You would be surprised how useful separate style sheets can be for CSS semantics.

Nonetheless, here are 5 Popular CSS Frameworks to try out:

960 Grid System

The 960 Grid System is an effort to streamline web development workflow by providing commonly used dimensions, based on a width of 960 pixels. There are two variants: 12 and 16 columns, which can be used separately or in tandem.

If you are looking for more CSS frameworks or more frameworks in general, visit FWDir.com. They currently have 52 different frameworks in their directory and they are expanding. I recommend the site personally and I hope it helps you find the right framework for your projects.

Once you have found your perfect framework, post a comment with what you have chosen: you may find frameworks that I didn’t know about.
